SO VERY GLAD I don’t live in Canada (but this situation isn’t that far off here either)

This From the Toronto Sun

BARRIE – What started as a simple squabble between two grown men turned into a major calamity Sunday when the OPP and the tactical team shut down a section of Hwy. 11 for the entire night…..

……..Turns out the weapons were properly registered, in gun cases, stored in a closet but police say the trigger-locks were not applied.

Woods was charged with five counts of improperly stored firearms and one count of assaulting his roommate.

However no injuries were reported, and the roommate was in turn charged with public mischief.

Ok so two grown get into an argument, somebody does something stupid and assaults the other one. The guy who gets assaulted raised a fuss and reported that their were guns in the house. Next thing we know SWAT team is called highway is shut down and flash bangs are getting thrown. In the end they find the guns WHICH WERE IN NO WAY CONNECTED TO THIS INCIDENT, we totally fine but didn’t have trigger locks as apparently required by Canada draconian anti-freedom laws.

Assulting your roomate is bad and dumb but it doesnt deserve the treatment this guy got.
